8 Week Musical Theatre Intensive

If you’re a musical theatre performer looking to build a stronger book and skill set – or an actor or dancer who hasn't sung much but wants to be able to compete for those jobs on hit TV shows (ala "Smash", "Glee", "Galavant", "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend", Disney Channel Original Musicals), TV musicals (ala "Grease", "The Wiz", "Peter Pan", "Sound of Music"), and must- see movies like “Pitch Perfect”, "Into the Woods", "Once", "Last Five Years", "Dreamgirls", "Les Miserables", and "Jersey Boys" – you’ll definitely want to be a part of this 8 Week Musical Theatre Intensive!

 

This comprehensive eight-week workshop is led by Tony and Drama Desk Nominated Broadway and Film Producer, Director, and Talent Manager - Heather Provost and Casting Director and Manager of Development at Provost Entertainment - Noelle Berry.

 

This workshop is designed to provide actors and actresses with the elements they need to stand out during auditions and help them be the best possible performer they can be.  With the guidance of Provost’s and Berry's years of experience, students will identify their ideal audition material, how to deliver a kick ass audition, audition "secrets" every actor should know, "types", the EVER important business side of the industry, as well as smart marketing strategies.  Students will learn how to be truly memorable in the room and on the set or the stage.

 

In addition to refining audition techniques, Provost and Berry will also work with students on rehearsed pieces, as well as cold readings and monologues.  Students will also have their work recorded, so they can truly get an idea of how they sound and look during the auditioning process.  

 

The final week of the Intensive will be a Showcase for some of the industry's top decision makers and professionals.

 

Class begins in Los Angeles (Studio to be determined) and will be every Tuesday 7pm-10pm.
